Privacy policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
Squawkset is operated by Pierce Coyle, based in Washington, USA ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect through squawkset.com, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
If you join the waitlist:
- Your email address.
- Your answers to optional questions on the signup form (for example, which assessment you're preparing for, when it is, and what price you'd expect to pay).
- The page you signed up from.
- Records of your consent, such as when you confirmed your subscription.
When you visit the site:
- Aggregate, cookieless usage statistics such as pages viewed, referring site, browser type, and country. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or identify individual visitors.
If you try a practice task on this site:
- Your results are stored only in your browser on your device. They are not sent to us.
We do not collect payment information, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
Why we use it
- To email you about the launch of the practice pack you signed up for, and occasional updates about it. Our legal basis is your consent.
- To understand which assessments and prices people are interested in, so we build the right product. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in developing the product.
- To see how the site is used in aggregate, so we can improve it. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the site.
We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Who processes it
- EmailOctopus stores the waitlist and sends emails on our behalf.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics processes aggregate usage statistics.
- Cloudflare hosts the site.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses provided by those providers.
How long we keep it
We keep your email and signup answers until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until we stop offering the product you signed up for, whichever comes first. Aggregate analytics are kept for as long as Cloudflare Web Analytics retains them; see Cloudflare's Web Analytics documentation.
Your rights
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Depending on where you live, including the UK and EU, you can also ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy,
- correct it,
- delete it,
- stop using it for a particular purpose.
Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're in the UK or EU, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
This site is intended for adults preparing for professional selection assessments. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
